Intro to ANGL Tokens

A Strategic Resource

Angelverse (ANGL) is the token of the Angelverse IP and a scarce, strategic resource within the universe. Only 1 billion ANGL will ever exist, all residing on the blockchain. Smart contracts built on the blockchain are immutable, transparent, and decentralized, meaning the properties or supply limit of ANGL cannot be altered.

ANGL is not a currency. While players can request ANGL as compensation in trading and exchange activities, it is not primarily positioned as a currency. All items in the ecosystem are priced in either Neo-Coins (the in-game currency) or fiat money.

DAO Ops and Crafting

ANGL is essential for nearly every DAO operation and action. It is required for crafting and designing new heroes, creating hero skins (cosmetic varieties), and designing or modifying ships and items. This means ANGL is the lifeblood of the decentralization of the economy and governance, and the user-generated content economy.

We are working with the Saga team to implement advanced DAO features, such as establishing DAO-owned chainlets to give advanced control to players and player DAOs upon dominating a planet.

Since cosmetics are one of the primary business models in the game, providing a healthy and sustainable monetization option without affecting game balance and fairness, certain customizations on heroes, ships, and weapons will be gated by ANGL tokens (in addition to other various resources, depending on the crafting operation).

Mega Constructions

ANGL is also necessary for initiating and maintaining mega projects and meta-estates, such as constructing star bases or capital ships. Please note these features will be available in the later stages.

Gatekeeper of Monetizable Actions

Certain events may require a specific amount of ANGL to organize or participate in, or both. We typically position ANGL as a taxing tool for any action that leads to financial or monetary gains. This approach helps accelerate the development of the universe and the IP.

Blockchain Partners

Angelverse (ANGL) tokens will be on Solana blockchain.

We also do support and work with Saga. We may partner up with other chains, however at this stage Solana and Saga are our only official chain partners.

We may support additional chains for various activities. For example, some of our free posters were distributed over Ethereum network in the past.

Angelic: The Chaos Theatre Early Alpha build was first featured by Solana at the PlayGG event in San Diego in July 2023.

Differences Between ANGL Tokens and In-Game Resources

All in-game resources in Angelic are designed to remain in the game and it is not possible to trade them outside of the game universe. As an example, Neo-Coin, the primary in-game currency, is a resource that cannot be obtained in any means in large quantities, except playing the game and accomplishing objectives or winning battles, etc. Apart from Neo-Coin, there are many important resources like Ankhenon Stones, or relationship status with neo-human alliances. In order to craft or obtain items you need these resources, and we are preventing Angelic to become a pay-to-win game by not allowing money based trading activities on these resources.

ANGL, however, is an ultra-rare resource but still obtainable in-game by completing certain and difficult objectives. ANGL can be purchased from other players and investors and can be traded between players in exchange for fiat money or stablecoins. Remember, however, ANGL will never be used by any means that might lead to pay-to-win scenarios.
